Cabo San Lucas
Cabo San Lucas is one of the main features of the so-called resort corridor on the southernmost tip of the Baja California peninsula. Through the years, Cabo San Lucas has undergone a transformation from a small fishing village, to the preferred relatively unknown destination for sportfishing, to one of the most popular tourist destinations in Mexico. Although this destination, where the desert meets the sea, has a relatively small population of 41,000, it boasts many world-class hotels and golf courses.

Boaters first started to come to Cabo San Lucas in the 1950’s to sportfish in the legendary “Marlin Alley”, and began to spread the word about the prolific bill fishing in this remote area. Once the paved high-way link was built between the U.S and Cabo in the 70’s, and later the Los Cabos International Airport in the 80’s, the area became more accessible to a growing number of vacationers. Cabo is still known as one of the best fishing spots in the world, and hosts several renowned fishing tournaments each year which offer over $2,000,000.00 dollars in prize money.
Although fishing has been the favorite water related activity for visitors, whale-watching is quickly becoming another favorite, as Grays, Humpbacks, Orcas and other whales can be seen in these waters. Snorkeling, Kayaking, and diving, among others, are also popular waters sports you can practice in these waters. The corridor also has equal access to great beaches where you may simply lie and enjoy the sun.

Cabo is also an important golf destination. Cabo is currently home to six world class golf courses with more on the way. You can enjoy a game of 18 holes on a sea side golf course, or play in a beautiful desert setting.

After a day filled with endless options, you can wine and dine in exquisite restaurants featuring a specialty of fresh food. There are countless beach-side restaurants and cliff-side dining. The night life ambiance is set by a young and energetic crowd that gives a vibrant tone to the night-club and bar settings.
There is plenty to do in the second fastest growing resort community in the country where you can enjoy the natural outdoors in the day time and the spectacular night life after sun sets.
